Time to revive this blog, don't you think?
I've been having the worst month in school, but now it's finally over and I look forward to "les vacances"! You will ssee a lot more of me here from now on.
Winter in Paris. On Monday France hit a new record in energy consuming when temperature went down to -8 degrees C and snow had fallen all day...

Le Corbusier's student housing at Cité Universitaire covered in snow.
So... what to do in Paris a free (well... almost atleast) Sunday?

I'll give you a clue: The first Sunday of every month it's free entrance!
Yes, you were right, visit the Louvre of course!

Every first Sunday of the month all state owned museum's in Paris, I would guess there's a hundred or so, have free entrance fees, yippi!
The Louvre is to big to see in one day so normally I do a little bit of it there and then.

Today, I saw the Medival part of the Louvre as well as one of the sculputure wings where I found this famous piece: Venus of Milo.
The museum entrance hall from 1989 (Architect: I. M. Pei) with the spectacular staircase.

I also took a quick peak in the permanent exhibition of Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine...

... the great architecture museum located in one of the old exhibition buildings of the World Fair of 1899 (Closest métro stop: Trocadero). This photo pictures the one-to-one scaled model of an appartement of Le Corbusier's Unité d'habitation in Marseilles. It's nice al though there was no bathroom!
I have seen the permanent exhibition many times so this day I was realy there to visit the temporal one, these months about the architectural association Lacaton & Vassal. It was super great!!
The view from Cité de l'architecture is quite nice too!

Fooling around in Umeå. I miss this (summer, holidays). I'm not entirely ready for a second semester, I just want to wander about aimlessly, in a "pas the soucis"-kind of way.

Picnic in Umeå or Löfbergs lila (Swedish coffee brand) commercial?

I already long for next summer.
Back on track. I'm back in Paris since a couple of hours. I think that...

...this photo represents pretty much all of my feelings right now. I'm here for a second adventure and I have no idea what lies ahead of me, I can just imagine that it will probably be a hard drive... just like when we went by hybrid car all the way from Gothenburg to Umeå last summer... (I just love this picture!)
Three friends and Stockholm's public library

Oh, it's January once again! The autumn passed really fast, I remember good old summer of 2008 when Simon, Sofie and I drove to Umeå to drop off Simon's friend Filip there. We made a quick stop in Stockholm as you can see. This picture is actually taken by me (!) standing on top of Observatorielunden looking down at Asplund's famous and beauiful library.
